☆ What is the Japan-Thai exchange meeting? ☆
It is an exchange meeting aimed at exchanging Japanese people in Thailand with Thai people who are studying Japanese and is a regular language exchange meeting in Bangkok.
Approximately 30 to 40 people participate each time and promote the exchange between Japanese and Thai by playing simple games and introducing themselves.
It seems to be exciting regardless of regular degree and age, so it seems that beginners of Thai are also welcome.
I have been in Thailand for two weeks, and I was beginning to be interested in Thai language which l heard in the streets. I was joined immediately after I knew the meeting.
☆ report of join the meeting ♪ ☆
Yesterday that exchange meeting was held. I joined that and so excited:)
This time, the meeting was held in the Jasmine room of The Phyll Connect near On Nut station of BTS (Bangkok Skytrain).
When I got to the venue exactly at the start time of 14:00, as many people were already seated. and I heard that the place where I sit is free by the staff, so I sat the seat which three Thai girls and one Japanese seated.^ ^
First, Japanese who can speak Thai speaks Thai, Thai who can speak Japanese greet in Japanese.♪
Whereas I’m a Thai beginner and I can only speak “Sawady ka, Khob khun ka” ,so I was greetings in Japanese.^ ^
Then all the Thai girls at the table are fluent in Japanese!
I asked them how to introduce myself in Thai language.
In Thai language, “My name is Beer Princess” is said to be “dì-chǎn chûue Beer Princess”.
But there is a tone in Thai language, there’s no tone in Japanese..so it was very difficult I pronounce Thai!
I recorded the Thai language I want to remember from the middle with a voice recorder. Lol♪
☆ There is an intermediate seat change ☆
After self-introduction and bingo games, there was a change of seat,and we were able to interact with participants in total of three tables on this day.
And you can exchange contacts on LINE and facebook with new friends before changing the seat.
I made friends with Thai girls in first time since I came to Thai, everyone was friendly and very good people! Thai people who are studying Japanese seem to have many people who use Japanese at work or have interpreter work ♪
And there’re Thai students studying Japanese at the university also.
☆ A tea party after the exchange meeting☆
After the meeting,there is a tea party at a shop nearby.
I joined the tea party by going to the members of the last seat as well.
The tea party place on this day is a Mexican restaurant on the hall. About 20 people participated in 40 to 50 participants in the exchange meeting.
I had great time!!(⌒▽⌒)!!
After tea party,we were going to Chatuchak Market.
